Senior Tech Lead
MHP – A Porsche Company, Cologne, Germany

- Data spaces & automotive
- Leadership
Mandate 01Cloud-native foundation, EU logistics market leader — lead architect, ongoing
Scope: 300+ legacy SAP applications · cloud-native target platform · AI-driven delivery process
- Designed the cloud-native target platform and reference service onto which the client's 300+ legacy SAP applications migrate; architecture decisions and migration plans live in the repository as code.
- Set up a human-in-the-loop, AI-driven delivery process, agent skills, quality gates and review flow included, that stakeholders, developers and consultants all work through; coach two junior developers; migration waves start November 2026.
Mandate 02Data Core X — creator and product lead; advisor since 2026
Scope: 40+ companies onboarded · 20+ engineers hired · three Catena-X certifications · AWS (EU) and STACKIT · Cofinity-X and STACKIT marketplaces
- Built the service from nothing: MHP hosts and operates each customer's Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) connector with certificate management, an SAP module, usage-policy enforcement and multi-organisation dashboards, on AWS (EU) and STACKIT, the Schwarz Group's sovereign cloud.
- Designed the architecture, wrote the core service, set the pricing (from €100 per month), passed three Catena-X certifications and hired 20+ engineers in Germany and India.
- 40+ companies onboarded; Volkswagen Group connects suppliers through it. Sold on the Cofinity-X and STACKIT marketplaces; provisioning takes minutes and a typical go-live about six weeks.
- Led the certificate-management and SAP quality-management squads, and consulted customers through onboarding and customisation.
- Built the live onboarding demo and ran MHP's booth at the Catena-X Readiness Fair, hosted at MHP Labs Munich in September 2025, with suppliers onboarded live in front of Volkswagen Group, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and BASF.
Mandate 03Systems-engineering tooling, CARIAD–Bosch Automated Driving Alliance — tech lead · until 2026
Scope: 3,000+ engineers · 100,000+ requirements artifacts · Python, Rust, GitHub Actions, Bazel
- Led the systems-engineering tooling team of the Automated Driving Alliance, where Volkswagen's software company CARIAD and Bosch had 3,000+ engineers building the driver-assistance (ADAS) stack for all Volkswagen Group brands.
- Cut a 15-minute requirements edit to under a minute. Built, with AI agents in the loop and human review, a web requirements editor over the programme's sphinx-needs corpus of 100,000+ artifacts in 1,300+ documents: instant search, guided editing with live validation, a creation wizard, and every change landing as a reviewed pull request linked to Azure DevOps. The syntax errors behind about 15% of documentation build failures can no longer happen; v1.1.7 ran in production with two phases delivered ahead of plan.
- Halved CI/CD time through GitHub Actions and Bazel optimisation; wrote a Rust search backend spanning every project in the programme, answering in under 50 ms.
- Programme concluded July 2026 with the stack delivered.
Mandate 04Analytics platform migration (Porsche) — tech lead and lead developer
- Led the legacy-to-cloud-native migration of a Porsche big-data analytics platform to AWS, fed by shop-floor data and therefore production-critical; delivered and handed over to Porsche's own team.
Mandate 05Digital vehicle twin (Volkswagen Group) — architect and tech lead
- Designed the architecture and built the MVP core of Volkswagen Group's digital vehicle twin: every Group data source combined into one graph database behind an access-controlled model of each vehicle and its parts, which brands and suppliers read while each keeps its own data under its own control.
- Aligned stakeholders across the Group, presented the MVP and wrote the roadmap reports the follow-on was planned from; the engagement closed with the MVP delivered.
- Career lead ("people counsellor" at MHP) for seven consultants and engineers: development plans, promotions, retention.
- Contribute to bid teams: solution design, demos and proposals that won new clients.
